This is nice, nicer than the original Prada Candy for sure. Its not that I dont like Prada candy, its just not my preference. I smelled cherries, peaches and roses at first but once it dried down all I could smell was musk and almonds. Well now poison girl is only almost half gone and lovestruck has a dent in it! Something about it makes me almost nauseous. I lost the sprayer somehow and really need one!! Not sure what I'm doing differently but this actually has great longevity for me, 6+ hours. Good sillage though and it would be the perfect summer scent if it lasted a bit longer. Indeed, sour cherry and not in a good way. I'm really enjoying the scent it's fun it's flirty and it's different from a lot of other scents that I have the only problem might be the sillage and longevity I can still smell it but I've only been wearing it for the past hour. If you're "the one" I guarantee you, guys will want you as soon as you enter the room. My personal ranking of the ones, I know: The original Prada Candy was far too caramel-y and sweet for me, so I was nervous going into Candy Gloss but my fears quickly dissipated when I realized what a little gem this one is! Has a lipstick vibe, which I love. It's really yummy and even a bit fizzy if you ask me. I wish I had purchased a bigger bottle as this is discontinued. If interested, please let me know. It sits fairly close to the skin, but I think it's one of those fragrances that is actually stronger, longer lasting, and has a better sillage than is first realized since it continues to swirl around me in the air, surprising me at times, even when I'd thought it had long faded. That sounds hideous, but it is not. the dry down ends up smelling exactly like mmmm by juliette has a gun to me. I am a fan of Prada Candy Gloss. Lol. Sometimes I even spray this before going to sleep. Even though this is a fruity scent, I'd recommend testing before buying because the cherry note is sort of different compared to other fruity notes that may be more neutral and inoffensive. One of the best perfumes so far in 2017, and the Best Candy Flanker as well. I wore this doing errands the other day and when I walked into a store, the male cashier said, Oooooh wow, you smell amazing! (He was super handsome too, but had a wedding band on ), i made my mom smell this and she loved it she said it smells like a barbie lol i think at first when sprayed it smells like cassis with a hint of cherry then it slowly turns into a very rosy but still fresh rose scent with slight peach hint then dries down to mainly heliotrope with almond and tiniest vanilla hint. Longevity on me is disappointing - it clocks in at a little under 3 hours. Im wondering if spraying it would make a difference because I know any time Ive had a rollerball I try to hunt down the spray because it can come off different sometimes, so maybe one day Ill find it and fall in love lol yeah no thats not going to happen, but I do think Prada has some beautiful other fragrances worth sniffing out! Its funny because I hate the original, although I always wanted to like it, cute bottle, amazing notes, but it just smelled bad on me must be why it took me so long to discover this awesomeness. I get mostly peach from this. It doesn't have the longest longevity since its an EDT but it has good projection in my opinion. Yes. I couldnt help it. Personally I love sweet perfumes, but me being goth would not be able to pull this off. I lost all my rationality. I like it. Projection not that great and the longevity sucks for me as it only stayed on my skin no more than an hour. Simply elegant! I didn't seriously expect much from this and upon my first spray, I thought 'uh oh' because I could immediately smell my scented kitchen cleaner, pink grapefruit by Method, to be exact! Oh, man, this is a stunner. Probably won't repurchase unless this turns into a love down the road. This is one of my favorite perfumes with synthetic/cosmetic notes. That burst of cherry is prominent and you know it is cherry from the beginning. Normally I do not wear gourmand scents. very interesting indeed! Prada Candy Gloss smells like powdery cherry cough drops for me. It also has a sweet floral-ish note to me. If youre looking for a sweet feminine with heavy vanilla base then this is for you. I have to be careful with that because my BF said that he definitely CAN smell it. I saw the newly released cute pink bottle at the cosmetic section; it was calling me to come a little closer, spraying it to the paper strip, and here we go: immediately impulse buy was made. Im quite a fan of the Florale but its too intense floral to me. To me, I get whiffs of my mother's VO5 hairspray, her ban roll-on antiperspirant and baby powder. Its less sweet than Poison Girl edp, less powdery than Lipstick On, and longer lasting than both. But occasionally and especially in winter, I wear almond noted coconut lotions and get tons of compliments. I can also detect a faint red apple note, although it's not officially mentioned. I only wish it projected a little more. It lasted about 1 hour, then the smell was almost gone. I wish it lasted more than 60 seconds. I noticed many scents out there tend to remind me of perfumes Ive either owned before or smelled on other people. but this one was unique for me, other than of course resembling the original, only on the ending dry down. Shockingly, I really liked this! This is just so playful and sweet. Its so purely cherry with a hint of vanilla and orange blossom, its absolutely gorgeous and so underrated. it smells so good. I said "Now THATS CHERRY!". I had tested it previously on a tester strip and found it to be very strong artificial cherry. While the middle or heart of the perfume is to last the longest, I dont really smell it ever. That made me a happy girl. The drydown is pretty similar to the original candy. It is just so unique and so obviously cherry. Cherries, yes, but almondy and warm. It doesn't last more than 4 h. I love lipstick scents, and this has a cherry chapstick vibe thats a little flirty but still daytime appropriate. It's so much better than the original Prada Candy in my opinion. Prada Candy Gloss is stunning!! Which is fine. This scent reminds me of cherry bakewell tart. a fun playful flirty girly scentit totally fits its name "candy" "gloss" smells like a tangy sweet candy thats sparkly shiny & fun love this scent :). Anyway i think this is worth a sniff if you like the concept behind it. The almonds then become dusty, not powdery like many other almond scents. | | Nederlands | Srpski | Romn | | | | |, Copyrights 2006-2022 Fragrantica.com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission. That is a very lovely cherry-almond perfume. Not so great person scent . Because it's so sweet and not grounded with spices, made heavy with deeper fruits like plum, or given a powdery element it comes off as incredibly juvenile. While there is an underlying gourmand theme to the scent it isnt overpowering, which I am grateful for. starts off as a bright and tart cherry scent that i find delightful. Bought this because some people said it reminded them of Lost cherry by TF. How could I, I lover of all that is pink, shiny, glossy or sparkly, pass this up? Just cherries. I typically hate cherry as an idea, maybe because I think of a bit of sharpness or the sour of its fles. Projection is moderate and longevity on my skin about 10 hours.I'll definitely buy it. I get the same vibe of la petite robe noir by Guerlain!!! Sort of like the sour cherries you can buy in mason jars. It literally disapears within moments of application. Prada Candy Gloss is an Eau de Toilette so it makes sense why the staying power isnt there. This is pretty and I'm all for the sweetie type scents but I just don't think this candy is for me. This is such a happy, cheerful and flirty perfume (thanks to the cherry). Similar to the top notes of Cartier Delices. About three weeks ago I tested candy gloss for the first time, you can read my first review below and see that I wasn't really impressed.I didn't dislike it but I felt it smells like a cherry lollipop.nothing more or less.yet now here I am with a 2.7 oz bottle of candy gloss in my hand.when I saw it in a great sale(80mil was priced 60$! Reminds me of early 2000's it-girls with cherry lipgloss and heart shaped sunglasses. However it's a fragance very wearable although i wouldn't recommend it in summer day as it tend a little heavy, in general i think it's a great and dovelike fragance if you like sweet and sugared scents. Definitely a fun-to-wear fragrance! I try to give every fragrance a chance because they sit differently on everyone and they can change several times during your time wearing it, but this never made it any where even remotely close to being nice. Not quite gourmandish on my skin but there is something about the way the cherry, almond, vanilla and musk notes are composed together that smell more sophisticated and the floral notes faintly present. Oh my gosh. One downfall would be the lasting power which is average. This is a sweet light scent that smells of cherry, almonds and vanilla to me. The length of my perfumista life does not go back far enough to really appreciate a time before these were prominent, or when the industry was just more serious, maybe that's the reason. Much sweeter and (slightly) longer lasting than the original Prada Candy. not for me. I'm obsessed. For some reason to me this smells like cherry tobacco my grandpa used to smoke. Then, I notice kind of a weird vanilla base that comes off synthetic, a tad powdery, and medicinal/bitter. I thought I would like the notes listed. Lasts pretty long both on my skin and my clothes. An unexpected love for me. A vaguely sweaty sour kick at the beginning that wasn't unpleasant. Upon first sniff, I get a strong fruity ruby guava (and I know it's not listed). The almond literally smells like sugared ground almonds. I can't stand the original Prada Candy or any of the other flankers I've tried, but this one is nice! Im not one to shy away from sweet fragrances but this settles bad on my skin. SUPERRRR sweet. I had this fragance and i loved it because it's sweet , sexy and it's a perfume with compliments because wherever you're somebody will feel it but i don't like its durability, it's from 1 or 2 hours maybe 3 hours max. i also own the original prada candy and in my eyes this is the fun sister of the original though i love both dearly. I love Candy and thought I'd try Candy Gloss. One of the few cherries I have actually enjoyed and my favorite of the Candy line. Heaven in a bottle. However, projection is very bad, at first spray, just a blast of guava, the dry down is about the same as original candy, with a hint of cherries. I thought I hated almond notes, but this scent just showed that I only dislike them when they become powder bombs. Very nice gourmand, sweet and soft. Not exclusively, but I often gravitate towards them and they don't automatically evoke teenage or childlike for me, like they do for others. It's an easy going year round anytime perfume. I feel like that sour cherry note is very subtle so its barely there. Prada Candy Gloss comes out in the spring of 2017 as the fifth fragrance of the playful gourmand collection Prada Candy. It reminds me of other lip product inspired scents I've tried, but this one pulls itself apart in that it's more fruity, less powdery, and certainly no violets. I have the rollerball of this, and I wouldn't mind reapplying. This is my everyday scent and I get compliments every time I wear it. A beautiful powdery cherry/almond scent. It GRAPE , GRAPE CANDY lol straight up , smells very good to me tho so if you like grapes , have at it. I wear clean fragrances like Clinique Happy. Come on prada, show me the money. This is a perfect first perfume for your daughter or niece though. Also honey, which is not in the notes. Ok Prada came up with something playful & fun to appeal to the young at heart, the sexy & crazy, the forever teenagers. It's lighter and fresher than its predecessor, it's a shame that it was discontinued. Definitely super sweet, when you first spray it, it has a very sour and bitter cherry which to my nose smells like the cherry is spoiled at first, but after maybe a minute this fragrance becomes more and more sweet, becoming a sweet sugary cherry with a hint of a sweet almond note, is one of those fragrances that it gets prettier and prettier as it dries dow, the base notes and the middle notes are amazing, could easily be a signature scent, longevity is good last on my skin for more than 7 hours, sillage is also good, if you are looking for a sweet cherry scent this is perfect very youthful warm and flirty, I never wrote a review before but this scent is so good I have to! I literally cannot smell it on myself. The bottle's color is so well done, suits the "gloss" lipstick theme. The dry down truly is all about candy, but the opening is a bit like walking past a nail salon that projects strong nail polish remover. i love how this perfume has such a lovely character and layering to it as i feel as though it has so much depth to it. My experience with Candy Gloss is nearly identical to the reviewer's below. So my lil sample will suffice, maybe I have to do a full body night on the town test..but I still think L'eau works best for me & remains my all time fav. I really wanted more cherry and some kind of oomph, but it just fell flat. I tested a ton of fragrances the other day and when i initially sprayed this one i thought it was nice but nothing special. The dry down is what makes me like this, but the opening is not a total love for me. Definitely my favorite out of the Prada Candy line. I always get compliments from other women when I wear it. I don't think it comes off like lollies at all and there is candy there but I wouldn't call it a candy. This combination actually lasts for quite a long time! This is so not what I was expecting, but such a luscious, ripe, sparkling gourmand beauty. I think it's the note they added to make this smell like makeup/lipstick. My mother smelled like this. It's vampy to me, definitely date night appropriate, but could also work during the day. I could barely smell it, and what I could detect smelled like faint watermelon jolly ranchers (and not even sweet enough). A nicer one from this line. I dislike prominent cherry in perfume (like Escada's cherry in the air) so I was weary. This straight up smells like a mouthwatering sour-cherry marzipan with vanilla. Like I said I wish it lasted longer. Just got this and I'm not sure what's going on lol it reminds me of cherry chapstick? Smells like an expensive cherry chap stick with amaretto. So Ive been wearing it for a few days now and for me this has been a great scent when Im sitting around tons of people in meetings and auditoriums as its inoffensive and not super strong however i always spray my clothes and my hair because i do like to smell it myself. These bottom notes are almost identical to the original Candy, but less intense. Expensive for a teen if you ask me, but hey, who am i to judge? Plain awful! A very sweet cherry nutty perfume. I was uninitiated into the world of Prada until very recently, when I read the reviews for this after jumping from another page. I'm getting a cherry doll head scent from thisand that's actually a good thing. I like it but will probably not re-buy when my 50mls is used up. Let's start with: I am not a fan of Prada perfumes, specially Candy line, I thought I liked just a little bit more the Kiss edition but now I am way more into Gloss one! Candy Gloss is a powdery oriental on me! Smells like plastic and is not nice at all. As it settled, there was a familiar smell that I couldn't quite put my finger on. That being said, even with multiple sprays, my nose has to literally touch my wrist to smell the fragrance. If this perfume was a girl, she is all fun and loving but never experiences a hard day's work. Sooo Fresh and lovely..(And I am obsessed with the bottle too, btw) Happy Holidays! Don't get cherry or any gourmand just sweetish plastic. I would call myself a lover of "sweet" perfumes. It's one of my favorites. I love the sweet cherry opening notes, almost like a cherry candy. Heck! Also the new Fantasy in Bloom by Britney, awesome, but not so much cherry. I am very new to the Candy Line, but I find it really enjoyable and easy for any occasion! I will go for a more mature choice. After than I get a clean, floral almost soapy vibe. I almost wrote it off at that point thinking it was too simple in too young but after 5 minutes the same thick Vaseline Lip Gloss scent comes out it starts to feel more oily and some of that tart fruit dies down and it becomes smoother thicker and more rounded. I feel like this is the best flanker they have come out with, for Prada Candy. Also I have So Sweet, and to me they don't smell similar. I wouldnt buy it tho for the price when you can get midnight fantasy for half that price. I'm getting rid of this one. I wish I could say the same for this or any of their newer offerings.. I adore this scent for special evenings out. Almond,Cherry,Benzoin,Orange blossom and Musk = that's heaven to me. It reminds me just a little bit of Guerlain La Petit Robe Noire. It's smooth and after a short dry down linear, undeniably glossy. I promised to you all a review as I was from the firsts discovered/commented about it. Nothing too flashy. Finally some EXTREMELY light nutty and vanilla notes appear in the dry down and the cherry shows up at last. The cherry and blackcurrant give it a blackberry/grape-y deliciousness like the berry gummy LifeSavers. I'm a fan of the original Prada Candy, and huge fan of Black Opium. I really, honestly like it! Especially unpleasant mixed with the powdery scent I get from it. I kind of liked it, but found it oriental. If I buy Prada Candy, it will be the original. My main complaint however, is that this is far too weak. So delicious! Dort0625: How did you manage to buy this one and several other perfumes in your sleep? Why don't they have a perfume as an option? I think this could be my favorite perfume ever. Also more powdery vanilla glosses that I wear currently. It kind of has the "lolita" vibe for me. If I could remove the almond it would be a real winner. It's a deep cherry scent that if oversprayed is very noticeable and overpowering. It is like softer closer to skin version of mon guerlain. Alas, I will use this one as a car spray. Gloss is a good way to describe it. Same thing with Gloss. I used it lavishly for 3 days straight before reading anything about it in order not to let my opinion unknowingly dictated beforehand. It smelled intriguing when first sprayed, but it got old and overwhelming very quickly. This is why you should take fragrance reviews on here with a pinch of salt. Candy Gloss is the third fragrance from the line that I have tried and the third one I have loved. This lovely fragrance reminds me of old-fashioned lipstick, cherry tobacco, and Sucrets cherry throat lozenges. The opening is aggressively fruity and very chemical, like children's fragrances or a cheap candy. it smells like you went out to lunch and got a frozen cherry limeade and had a sweet almond vanilla biscotti and vanilla ice cream. A definite no for me. I got my bottle for Xmas from my husband and now in July I'm already finishing up my bottle. They came in a 3 pack of blue raspberry, grape, and cherry/strawberry. The pink bottle suits the fragrance. I don't smell cherries I smell guava at this point I feel that it's going to be a light tart fruity Floral . But I wonder if Prada could be losing some of their magic touch. Green at first spray and then settles into a pleasant sweetness and lasts for several hours. Mildly flavored like lipsmackers. The bottle is so cute, it is a beautiful color and that alone makes it very tempting! Love the bottle! She told me it smelled warm. Blind buy and Im not impressed. I don't know if I'd say it smells like gloss, but more like cherry pez lollies lol. It's sweet, feminine and smells more like actual candy than the original, in my opinion. A lovely, fruity, juicy, summer scent. Its such a gorgeous cherry, almond, vanilla fragrance.
