We both knew the name and reputation of Timbuk 2. Good news is, the "slimming down" program really works on both the Classic and the Flight and the result is an excellent bag to keep at your seat during a flight and to use EDC at your destination. The interior body-side panel iPad slot rocks even though only padded on the interior side - I'd rather use an accessory cover case, or even accessory keyboard cover case, than permanently bulk up the bag and waste space for built-in padding.
